Increased trainee involvement and active participation at national events have been a priority for HIVTC. HIVTC was invited to be part of the BHIVA abstracts review process and various BHIVA subcommittees. Additionally, trainees were seen as part of the panels co-chairing oral research presentation sessions, and HIVTC is committed to continuing to advocate for more trainee involvement.

The committee structure of the HIVTC has been restructured to reflect the evolving needs of trainees and the club. There will be dedicated committee members for research, education, website, social media, sponsorship, treasury, and newsletters, bulletins and networking.

We plan to continue bringing more pertinent news, workshops and other activities for HIV trainees in the coming months, and look forward to seeing you at our next HIVTC workshop on the 27th November 2018 at the Royal Society of Medicine, London. We will be bringing talks with the theme of ‘HIV and women’, as well as opportunities to discuss research and management needs for trainees. If you have any suggestions on future workshop sessions or how to enhance our current activities, do drop a message to our secretariat as we would love to hear from you!
