A message from the Chairs
The HIV Trainees Club was formed in 1998 to act as a forum for specialist registrars (junior doctors) in Genitourinary Medicine and Infectious Diseases with an interest in HIV medicine, to meet for educational and social purposes. Currently, the club has around 300 members (SpRs/STs) and applications are now welcomed from other interested medical staff groups as Associate Members.
The Club has two workshops a year: a workshop prior to April’s BHIVA conference when the AGM is held (held in the same city as the BHIVA conference), and another workshop in London held later in the year. Details of all workshops will appear on the web site as well as online forms for applying to go to these events.
The Club’s sponsors are Gilead Sciences and ViiV Healthcare. Their funding enables our full members to join in our workshops for free, and our associate members to attend them for a small fee. It also supports the newsletters which we circulate twice a year.
We welcome any comments you may have on this website, as well as suggestions for topics for future workshops, and have provided an online form to submit suggestions as well as membership requests. NB, the password to the members’ area is given out at our workshops but can also be requested by members via the online form.
